AIECS is a Skills Assure Supplier (SAS) approved by the Queensland Government Department of Trade, Employment and Training (DTET) to deliver subsidised training to eligible Queenslanders under the Career Boost Program.
Career Boost is designed to support eligible Queenslanders to develop higher-level skills, advance their careers and apply their skills to existing or new job roles. The program supports career progression, workforce productivity and continued education and training.
AIECS delivers CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care under Career Boost through two pathways:
The General Training Pathway is suitable for eligible students who wish to complete the CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care without entering into a registered apprenticeship or traineeship.
Students study through AIECS's flexible blended delivery model and complete the workplace and practical assessment requirements of the qualification in an approved early childhood education and care service.
To access Career Boost funding through the General Training Pathway, students must meet the applicable Queensland Government eligibility requirements, including requirements relating to previous qualifications, current enrolments and previous Queensland Government-funded training.
The Apprenticeship and Traineeship Pathway is available to eligible students undertaking CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care through a registered apprenticeship or traineeship arrangement.
Under this pathway, training is employment-based and the student, employer and AIECS work together throughout the apprenticeship or traineeship. A registered Training Contract must be in place and the student must meet the applicable Career Boost funding requirements.
As the Supervising Registered Training Organisation (SRTO), AIECS works with the student and employer to develop and maintain the Training Plan, provide training and assessment, monitor progress and support successful completion of the qualification.
Through Career Boost, the Queensland Government contributes towards the cost of eligible training, reducing the amount students are required to pay.

The amount of subsidised training an individual may access depends on their training pathway, previous qualifications, current enrolments and previous use of Queensland Government-funded training.
Before enrolment is confirmed, AIECS will assess each student's eligibility against the Career Boost requirements that apply to their chosen pathway.
AIECS is contracted as a Skills Assure Supplier (SAS) under the Queensland Government Career Boost Program 2025–2028 and is approved to deliver subsidised training in CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
AIECS is committed to providing quality training and assessment, clear information and ongoing support to help students successfully progress through their qualification and continue their professional development within the early childhood education and care sector.
Under Career Boost, eligible individuals may access subsidised training to support higher-level skills development and career progression.
Depending on eligibility and previous Queensland Government-funded training, this may include:
An individual cannot access two General Training Pathway qualifications under Career Boost.
Previous participation in Queensland Government-funded apprenticeships and traineeships may also affect eligibility. If an individual has already completed two subsidised apprenticeships or traineeships within the previous 10 years, including School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SATs) and Career Start apprenticeships or traineeships, they may not be eligible for a further subsidised apprenticeship or traineeship under Career Boost.
AIECS will review your previous qualifications and government-funded training history before confirming your Career Boost eligibility.
The Queensland Government provides a subsidy towards the cost of eligible Career Boost training. The subsidy is paid directly to AIECS as an approved Skills Assure Supplier (SAS), reducing the cost of training for eligible students.
The amount of funding available varies depending on the qualification, training pathway and applicable Queensland Government funding arrangements.
Depending on the training pathway and individual circumstances, a student co-contribution fee may apply. Concessional rates or fee exemptions may also apply to eligible students.
AIECS will advise you of the applicable government subsidy, student co-contribution fee and any other costs before your enrolment is confirmed.
The Queensland Government provides additional funding and higher subsidies to support eligible students and priority groups to participate in training.

AIECS will discuss available support with you as part of the enrolment process and work with you to identify reasonable support that may assist you to successfully participate in and complete your training.
Career Boost is designed to support eligible Queenslanders to develop higher-level skills and knowledge that can assist them to advance their careers, take on more skilled or senior roles, and continue their professional development.
Students completing CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care can develop the skills and knowledge required for higher-level roles within the early childhood education and care sector, including positions involving greater responsibility for curriculum, practice and leadership.
Throughout your training, AIECS will provide information, guidance and support to assist you to successfully progress towards completion of your qualification and identify opportunities for continued professional development and further study.
Career Boost can support employers to develop the skills and capability of their workforce by providing eligible employees with access to subsidised higher-level training.
Through AIECS, eligible employees may undertake CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care through either the General Training Pathway or an eligible Apprenticeship and Traineeship Pathway.
For employees undertaking a registered apprenticeship or traineeship, AIECS works in partnership with the employer and student as the Supervising Registered Training Organisation (SRTO). Employers are responsible for providing appropriate workplace facilities, supervision, on-the-job training and opportunities for the student to develop and demonstrate the skills required by the qualification.
AIECS will assess each student's eligibility for Career Boost funding and explain the applicable funding arrangements, student co-contribution fees and any other costs before enrolment is confirmed.
Where additional training costs are discussed with an employer, these will be clearly explained and agreed upon before enrolment. Employers are not required to accept additional costs beyond the applicable student co-contribution fee requirements.
The Career Boost General Training Pathway allows eligible students to enrol directly in an approved higher-level qualification without entering into an apprenticeship or traineeship Training Contract with an employer.
AIECS is approved to deliver CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care through the Career Boost General Training Pathway.

Under Career Boost:
It may be possible to access a subsidised General Training Pathway qualification under both Career Start and Career Boost, provided you meet the eligibility requirements for each program.
AIECS will review your previous qualifications, current enrolments and Queensland Government-funded training history before confirming your eligibility.
Career Boost eligibility requirements, training entitlements and funding arrangements are determined by the Queensland Government and may change. AIECS will assess your eligibility against the current Department of Trade, Employment and Training (DTET) requirements at the time of enrolment.
Career Boost eligibility requirements vary depending on the training pathway. AIECS will assess your individual circumstances against the applicable Queensland Government requirements before confirming your enrolment.
General Training Pathway
You may be eligible for the Career Boost General Training Pathway if you:
Your previous participation in Queensland Government-funded training may affect your eligibility for a Career Boost subsidy.
To access Career Boost through the Apprenticeship and Traineeship Pathway, you must:
Previous subsidised apprenticeships and traineeships, including School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SATs), may affect your eligibility for a Career Boost apprenticeship or traineeship. Foundation Skills qualifications and self-funded or fee-for-service qualifications do not affect eligibility under the current enrolment requirement.

Your previous qualifications and participation in Queensland Government-funded training may affect your eligibility for Career Boost.
As part of the enrolment process, AIECS will review your previous qualifications, current enrolments and government-funded training history against the requirements of your chosen Career Boost pathway.
You must provide complete and accurate information about your previous and current training. AIECS may undertake relevant record checks and request supporting documentation to verify your training and funding history.
You may also be required to provide copies of qualification certificates or Statements of Attainment. These documents assist AIECS to verify your training history and determine whether you may be entitled to Credit Transfer for units you have previously completed.
Current Enrolments
To be eligible for Career Boost, you must not be currently enrolled in another DTET-funded qualification, including a qualification that is on hold or deferred.
Foundation Skills qualifications and self-funded or fee-for-service qualifications do not affect eligibility under this requirement.
You must provide AIECS with complete and accurate information about your current and previous training so we can accurately assess your
eligibility for government-subsidised training.
Previous Apprenticeships and Traineeships
Previous participation in government-funded apprenticeships and traineeships may affect your eligibility for the Career Boost Apprenticeship and Traineeship Pathway.
If you have already completed two government-funded apprenticeships or traineeships within the previous 10 years, including School-Based Apprenticeships or Traineeships (SATs), you are not eligible for a further subsidised apprenticeship or traineeship under Career Boost.
School students are not eligible for the Career Boost Apprenticeship and Traineeship Pathway.
DTET Student Survey
As part of receiving subsidised training, you may be invited by the Department of Trade, Employment and Training (DTET) to participate in a student survey about your training experience and outcomes.
Your feedback helps the Queensland Government evaluate and improve subsidised training programs.

Entry to CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is open to individuals who hold:
Evidence of the completed prerequisite qualification must be provided as part of the enrolment process.
In addition to the qualification entry requirement, students enrolling with AIECS must:
Students undertaking training and employment in early childhood education and care may be exposed to infectious diseases.
Students are encouraged to discuss appropriate vaccinations with their healthcare provider and be aware of any health, vaccination or infection-control requirements that may apply within their workplace.
Individual early childhood education and care services may have their own workplace health and safety policies or requirements. Students are responsible for ensuring they meet any requirements applicable to their workplace or placement.
A current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card) is required for students undertaking workplace training and assessment in early childhood education and care services.
Students must provide AIECS with evidence of their Blue Card status as part of the enrolment and workplace training process and must maintain the required Blue Card status throughout their training.
Students are responsible for meeting any requirements and costs associated with obtaining and maintaining their Blue Card.

A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is required for nationally recognised training in Australia. Your USI provides a lifelong record of your nationally recognised training and qualifications.
Students must provide AIECS with a valid USI as part of the enrolment process. Without a valid USI, AIECS may be unable to issue your qualification or Statement of Attainment.
Creating a USI is free.
AIECS may also require appropriate identification to verify your personal details and USI as part of the enrolment process.
The Queensland Government provides a subsidy under the Career Boost Program to reduce the cost of eligible nationally recognised training. Students are required to contribute towards the cost of their training through a student co-contribution fee, unless an applicable exemption applies.
The amount payable depends on the training pathway and whether the student is eligible for a concessional rate.
General Training Pathway
For eligible students undertaking CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care:
Non-concession: $600
Concession: $300
Apprenticeship and Traineeship Pathway
Student co-contribution fees are charged at $1.60 per nominal training hour for each unit of competency.
Eligible concessional students pay 40% of the standard student contribution fee.
AIECS will advise students of all applicable fees, concessions and any exemptions before enrolment is confirmed.
Who can pay the fee?
A student's co-contribution fee may be paid by the student or on their behalf by another person or organisation, including their employer, subject to the applicable Queensland Government funding requirements.
AIECS, or a person or organisation related to AIECS, cannot pay or waive the required student co-contribution fee on behalf of the student.
Students who cancel their enrolment in a Career Boost funded program may be eligible for a refund of student co-contribution fees.
AIECS will provide a 100% refund of student co-contribution fees paid for units of competency where training has not commenced at the time the enrolment is cancelled.
A refund will not be provided for student co-contribution fees relating to units of competency where training has already commenced.
Where a student co-contribution fee was paid by another person or organisation on behalf of the student, any applicable refund will be made to the original payee.
