  • Hold a CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or
  • CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care

18-24 months full time enrolment.
36-48 months part time enrolment.

HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation 

Fee for Service: $60.00
** Queensland Childcare Services Educators Only: $30.00

AIECS holds Saturday morning monthly HLTAID009 CPR Classes at the college located, 56 Commercial Drive, Shailer Park 4128. Click the "Enrol Now" button for upcoming class dates. 

The online theory component must be completed prior to attendance of the face-to-face practical assessment class. 

This qualification needs to be renewed every 12 months.

Early Childhood Services are encouraged to contact our college administration to discuss HLTAID009 delivered at their service. 


Attendees must be able to physically complete all CPR steps in order to be deemed competent: 

  • performing at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) (5 cycles of both compressions and ventilation) on an adult resuscitation manikin placed on the floor
  • performing at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) (5 cycles of both compressions and ventilation) on a child resuscitation manikin placed on the floor
  • performing at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer CPR (5 cycles both compressions and ventilation) on an infant resuscitation manikin placed on a firm surface

CHC62015 Advanced Diploma Of Community Sector Management

Entry Requirements:

  • Hold a qualification at Diploma level or above relevant to work in the community sector and 
  • be employed in an approved Early Childhood Service and Setting to undertake practical assessment and demonstration of skills.

12-18 months full time enrolment.
24-36 months part time enrolment.

HLTAID012 Provide first aid in an education and care setting

Fee for Service: $120.00

This course includes HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Food Safety Supervisor (three nationally accredited units)

1 month enrolment.
Fee For Service: $200.00

The Food Safety Supervisors course is an official qualification for the Health and Childcare industry that is made up of the following units of competency:

  • HLTFSE001 - Follow basic food safety practices.
  • HLTFSE007 - Oversee the day-to-day implementation of food safety in the workplace.
  • HLTFSE005 - Apply and monitor food safety requirements.

These units are approved and recognised by every Australian State and Territory.

This qualification needs to be renewed every 5 years.

CHCPRT025 Identify and report children and young people at risk.

Child Protection Annual Refresher     (online non-accredited course)

2 weeks enrolment.
Educator Refresher Fee: $50.00
** Queensland Childcare Services Educators Only: $40.00

In early childhood it is important to understand the different indicators and types of abuse. We respectfully cover these areas along with the child protection legislation, United Nations Convention on Rights of the Child, what your duty of care responsibilities are and ethical considerations. During this workshop we will educate you in what your role is as a mandatory reporter and how to correctly document information. We discuss recent events within the media along with hands-on activities to cater for all learners.
